West Ham making big Said Benrahma push ahead of transfer deadline day

West Ham United are desperately trying to shift Said Benrahma and replace him before next week’s transfer deadline day.

Said Benrahma has been in woeful form for West Ham so far this season, and it seems as though the club are trying really hard to shift him in the January transfer window.

The Algerian was last seen in action when he got sent off during our FA Cup defeat to Bristol City last week, and if that is the last time we see him in a Hammers shirt, what a miserable way it will be for his London Stadium career to end.

Benrahma, 28, has been heavily linked with an exit from West Ham this month, with the likes of Wolves thought to be chasing his signature.

He has been so poor for us this season, with no goals and only one assist to his name in 22 games in all competitions (Transfermarkt), so it’s little wonder why Moyes wants to sell him.

In fact, the Scot seems to be doing everything he can to replace the former Brentford man this winter…

West Ham making big Said Benrahma push ahead of transfer deadline day

According to a report from the Sun, Moyes is making a big effort to move Benrahma on and bring in a replacement for the winger.

There are just eight days remaining before the January transfer window slams shut, so the Scot had better act fast.

West Ham are reportedly trying to sign numerous left wingers including Sunderland’s Jack Clarke and Ajax ace Steven Bergwijn.

Either of those two would be huge upgrades on Benrahma. The Algeria international is an absolute shadow of his former self now, and is totally bereft of any kind of confidence.

The sooner that we move him on the better, for the good of him as a player and us as a club.

Said Benrahma has never lived up to the hype at West Ham, and if we sell him before transfer deadline day whilst bringing in someone like Jack Clarke, it will be good news all round for everyone involved.
