Gabby Agbonlahor has absolutely gone off at West Ham United striker Michail Antonio on talkSPORT.

West Ham attacker Michail Antonio has been in dreadful form recently, and Gabby Agbonlahor has let him have it.

Hammers boss David Moyes has been persisting with the 33-year-old as his main striker though, in spite of his shocking displays of late.

Antonio has been causing controversy with some of his recent comments on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, and he recently incurred the wrath of the West Ham fans by suggesting that Jarrod Bowen is the ideal Mohamed Salah replacement for Liverpool.

He angered Tottenham fans as well by putting down Spurs forward Richarlison for his lack of goals – oh the irony!

And now, Antonio has received an absolute hammering from one high-profile pundit…

Gabby Agbonlahor absolutely slaughters West Ham forward Michail Antonio for ’embarrassing’ actions

Antonio put in a pathetic performance away at Brentford yesterday, and he sent the Hammers fans into meltdown when he selfishly stole the ball from Said Benrahma’s path, only to blaze wide from two yards out.

The result may well have been very different in the end, had the Jamaica international left the ball for Benrahma to tap home into an empty net.

Agbonlahor absolutely tore the West Ham forward to pieces, when speaking on talkSPORT tonight:

“He’s on a podcast every week, talking about how he’s desperate for goals. He was sliding in because he wants to talk about scoring on his podcast. It’s embarrassing. It was exactly that moment when he slid in when Benrahma was there to tap it in. He came for Richarlison as well, I don’t think you can do that when you’re playing yourself. You can’t be hammering players but then not scoring yourself. It’s not right is it.”

I make Agbonlahor 100% spot on. He’s hit the nail on the head here hasn’t he.

Antonio needs to do his talking on the pitch, not on his cringe-worthy podcast. Why he’s even allowed to do it whilst he’s being paid a salary by West Ham is beyond me.

Especially when he’s digging out fellow pros and failing to produce the goods on the pitch for the Hammers.

Gabby Agbonlahor has given Michail Antonio nowhere to hide with his comments today. Let’s hope that it humbles the 33-year-old a bit, because he has become a bit of a laughing stock in the Premier League.
