Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has raved about one West Ham United player in particular on Instagram.
Declan Rice left West Ham to join Arsenal in a £105 million blockbuster deal in the summer transfer window.
Hammers boss David Moyes went on to strengthen his squad considerably with the Rice money, by bringing in Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mohammed Kudus.
Rice returned to the London Stadium on Wednesday night with Arsenal, and despite his side’s defeat he sent a message of gratitude to the West Ham fans on Instagram after the game.
Moyes’s team were absolutely magnificent and dominated the North London side all over the pitch, in every single department.
The Hammers, led by the magnificent Lucas Paqueta, absolutely battered the Gunners. And Rice made it very clear what he thinks of our Brazilian magnifico…
Declan Rice thinks West Ham have an incredible player on our hands
The 24-year-old Arsenal man took to social media network Instagram yesterday to praise his former teammate Paqueta.
Rice wrote on his Instagram Story that he’s a huge fan of the 26-year-old Hammer:
“What a player! So good to see you, brother!”
Paqueta has been a standout player for the Hammers this season, despite the odd lapse in concentration and over elaborate showboating on the ball in dangerous areas.
The Brazilian has truly unbelievable ability, and Hammers boss Moyes even admitted that he enjoys watching the former Lyon ace’s showboating!
Paqueta has reached an entirely new level this season – I just hope that we’re able to keep him beyond the end of the 2024 summer transfer window.
Declan Rice left West Ham to go on and better himself, and compete for major honours with Mikel Arteta’s side – that’s totally understandable of course.
However, it’s clear to see that we’ve improved as an all-round team since he left as well, so it was obviously a good deal for all parties involved.
