Alleged David Moyes replacement target Will Still has continued his West Ham charm offensive by liking a social media post showing him as Hammers boss.

West Ham fans are well aware of the Will Still story by now.

If you don’t then you must have been living under a rock – but we’ll fill you in.

He’s a lifelong Hammers fanatic who honed his managerial skills and nous playing the video game Football Manager before putting them to use in real life as he takes Ligue 1 by storm with unfancied Reims.

Still has repeatedly stated in various interviews that he dreams of managing his beloved West Ham, it was no surprise Still was linked as a potential replacement for David Moyes during the dark days of last season.

Still continues West Ham charm offensive

Indeed it was even claimed Still was on a six-man shortlist compiled by the West Ham board should they have parted ways with Moyes in the summer.

With Reims in the mix for a Champions League spot in Ligue 1 so far this season, it is perhaps somewhat inevitable Still will be linked with the West Ham job again given the incessant speculation surrounding Moyes’ future beyond the end of the current campaign – when the Scot’s contract expires.

And Still is certainly not doing anything to play that down.

Last week – with Moyes’ future being questioned – he once again publicly admitted it is his dream to manage West Ham.

Then Still was seen at the London Stadium watching the win over Nottingham Forest.

Now alleged target Still has continued his West Ham charm offensive by liking a social media post showing him as Hammers boss.

Alleged target likes post showing him as Hammers boss

Hammers insider Sean Whetstone has reported on the fact Still liked an Instagram post which shows a mock-up photo of him with the West Ham manager’s jacket on and the caption ‘Will Still Soon’.

The board confidant says Still is ‘not thought to have’ met with majority owner David Sullivan during his visit last weekend. But he points out he seems to be ‘flattered’ by the speculation linking him to his dream job.

“West Ham fan and Reims manager Will Still liked a mock up photo of himself in a West Ham manager’s coat with the caption “Will Still Soon” on Instagram,” Whetstone said alongside an image of the post.

“The 31 year old was in the London Stadium press box last Sunday watching the Hammers beat Nottingham Forest but is not thought to have met David Sullivan.

“There is no immediate suggestion Still is being lined up as a future West Ham manager but he appears to be flattered with the media attention and speculation surrounding him in connection with West Ham.”
