Tim Steidten is very frustrated that West Ham are not pushing ahead with a deal to sign Youssouf Fofana from Monaco.

According to the Guardian, Youssouf Fofana is a player who West Ham director of football Tim Steidten is pushing David Moyes to sign.

The East London outfit have been linked with a move to sign the 24-year-old Monaco ace for around £30 million on numerous occasions already this summer.

Hammers boss Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class central midfielder into the club before the summer transfer window slams shut.

The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg claims that Moyes and Steidten are on completely different pages when it comes to transfer strategy.

I’m just not sure what’s going on at the London Stadium. A toxic melting pot including five completely different strategies bourn from differing views is bubbling away in background.

Steidten, Moyes, Mark Noble, David Sullivan and Rob Newman all have input. The saying ‘too many cooks spoil the broth’ springs to mind.

II don’t really see what the point was in appointing Tim Steidten as West Ham’s director of football, if the German’s suggestions are just going to be ignored by Moyes.

Something has to change…and fast. The sad thing is that someone will probably have to walk in order to make things work. Whether that be Moyes or Steidten remains to be seen though.
