West Ham United are reportedly working on a deal to sign Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Manchester City this summer.
According to a report from The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, Manchester City centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis remains firmly on the radar of West Ham in the summer transfer window.

Jacob Steinberg: West Ham are working on a deal to sign Taylor Harwood-Bellis
The Guardian reporter, who has close links to Hammers co-owner David Sullivan, reckons that the Hammers are working on a deal that would see the 21-year-old swap Manchester for East London this summer.
The Telegraph recently described Harwood-Bellis as an ‘elite’ young player, and they’re not wrong. He was absolutely superb during a loan spell with Burnley last term.

In 32 Championship outings for the Clarets last season, the 21-year-old centre-back averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.8 interceptions, 3.1 clearances and 2.8 successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).
He’s a brilliant passer of the football as well and is so comfortable in possession, as you would expect from someone who has played under Pep and Vincent Kompany. In 32 league games last season, he made 81.1 passes per match on average and recorded a completion rate of 85.3 (Who Scored).
It is rumoured that Taylor Harwood-Bellis is available for around £15 million this summer (Daily Mail), and that would represent exceptional value for West Ham in my opinion.
Let’s just hope that the Hammers manage to get this one done with the minimum of fuss before the new season starts.
