West Ham United have just been handed a big boost in the race to sign Youssouf Fofana from Monaco this summer.
According to L’Equipe, Monaco are awaiting the ‘anticipated transfer’ of West Ham target Youssouf Fofana in the summer transfer window.

Hammers manager David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium in the summer transfer window, with Declan Rice set to leave the club.

The Scot needs to sign someone who has the currently ability to slot right into Dec’s place, but also has the potential to keep on getting better.
So with that in mind, Fofana would be the perfect candidate for the job. And it seems as though there will be no resistance from Monaco if West Ham make a concrete offer for the Frenchman…
Big West Ham boost with Monaco reportedly ‘anticipating transfer’ of Youssouf Fofana
L’Equipe reckon that the Ligue 1 side are literally waiting for an official bid to be made for the 24-year-old powerhouse midfielder.
I think that Fofana would be an exceptional signing for West Ham – he has absolutely everything that we need in the middle of the park.
After being dropped from the France national academy in Clairefontain as a 15-year-old, Fofana incredibly worked as a pizza delivery boy between 2014 and 2017.

The central midfield powerhouse possesses energy, athleticism, dynamism and strength in abundance. He’s built for Premier League football.
The 24-year-old has an incredible physique, but he’s not all about pace and power. The Frenchman is very good with the ball at his feet. He has been described as an ‘unreal’ midfielder by Monaco’s official website.
On top of all of that, the Monaco ace could be available for just £30 million this summer – an absolute bargain if you ask me.
If West Ham sign Youssouf Fofana for £30 million this summer, I would argue that it would be our best piece of business for quite some time.
