A journalist claims West Ham are in talks over an impressive £20m deal for Said Benrahma if an owner agrees to the terms.
It has become increasingly clear that Said Benrahma does not have a future at West Ham under David Moyes.
The manager made that abundantly clear when he said he is playing Lucas Paqueta ‘out of position’ on the left because it is an area ‘we’re a bit short in’.
The Algerian has been a bit-part player for the Hammers this season. And two weeks ago Benrahma posted a cryptic message on social media after being left out of the side once again.
The top source inside the club exclusively told Hammers News recently that West Ham do intend to be active in January.

Benrahma on his way?
But they must move some players on to “free up slots in the squad” and raise funds, partially to satisfy FFP rules.
With that as background, coupled with Benrahma’s lack of game time, it is no surprise the 28-year-old has been linked with a move away in the January transfer window.
French, Turkish and Saudi clubs have all been credited with an interest in the winger.
And he is a much more saleable asset for the Hammers in January after being snubbed for Algeria’s AFCON squad.

Journalist claims West Ham in talks over impressive £20m deal
Now a journalist claims West Ham are in talks over an impressive £20m deal for Benrahma if an owner agrees to the terms.
Alan Nixon, a Sun journo with close links to Moyes, claims struggling Lyon are in talks with West Ham over a loan deal to sign Benrahma.
The Hammers will only sanction the deal if Lyon’s American owner John Textor agrees to a £20m obligation to buy if West Ham’s old Europa League foes seal Ligue 1 safety.
And Nixon claims Lyon are confident of selling the idea to Benrahma should Textor agree to West Ham’s terms.

Hammers want obligation from Textor
“Lyon have clawed themselves closer to safety after a bad campaign and hope they can attract attacking midfielder Benrahma,” Nixon states on his Patreon page.
“Their first move stalled because Benrahma was not sure about leaving to join a club in trouble, even on a loan basis. However Lyon hope to get permission to make an official approach and sell the idea to the Hammers squad man.
“West Ham want a guaranteed deal of over £20 million if Lyon stay up and owner John Textor may sign up for that.”
If the Hammers pull that off it would be seriously impressive business. Benrahma needs a change of scenery and has been a good servant for the club, scoring to help West Ham lift their first major trophy in over four decades.
It would be just £5m less than the Hammers paid Brentford for him too.
Nixon says Moyes would be reassured that he could replace Benrahma should a deal be struck with Lyon or anyone else.
