Frozen out West Ham star Said Benrahma has posted a cryptic message on social media amid rumours he could be sold in January.

David Moyes has stated he wants to sign a striker and is keen to “add to what he is building” with his new-look West Ham side in the January transfer window.

The top source inside the club exclusively told Hammers News recently that West Ham do intend to be active next month.

But they must move some players on to “free up slots in the squad” and raise funds, partially to satisfy FFP rules.

Frozen out Benrahma posts cryptic message

One player who has been linked with a move away is bit-part winger Said Benrahma.

Old Europa League foes Lyon have been linked with a bid for the inconsistent West Ham man.

The Algerian has started just four Premier League games for the Hammers this season.

That’s despite becoming a regular starter in Moyes’ side last season.

And he has often been overlooked from the bench by Moyes too – as was the case in the Europa League win over Freiburg on Thursday night.

Now frozen out West Ham star Benrahma has posted a cryptic message on social media.

‘Zipped mouth’

It seems Benrahma is becoming increasingly fed up when reading between the lines of his latest social media activity.

Because after Thursday night’s last 16 clincher, Benrahma took to Instagram and posted pictures of himself with his Hammers tracksuit on looking rather glum.

Perhaps a move is best for all concerned

Benrahma then commented underneath his own post with a zipped mouth emoji.

The post was ‘liked’ by West Ham teammate Lucas Paqueta and others.

Meanwhile former Hammer Issa Diop posted three zipped mouth emojis too.

Pablo Fornals has been preferred ahead of Benrahma in the last few games. That’s despite being ill in the Fulham drubbing.

So the writing seems to be on the wall for the Prague hero’s West Ham future.

And perhaps it would be best for all concerned. Benrahma probably needs a different manager and fresh challenge while West Ham could do with the money for their own signings.
