Moyes sends exciting transfer hint to Steidten

Yesterday we reported how the West Ham boss admitted to Les Ferdinand that he wants to sign a striker in January.

That gave fans plenty of encouragement and more has followed in the manager’s latest press conference.

It was revealed after the Spurs win that West Ham’s best ever start to a Premier League season after 15 games could be even better.

With 12 points lost from winning positions, the Hammers could be joint top of the table.

So the team has all the makings of a side which can seriously compete with the elite but with questionable depth.

Now Moyes has sent an exciting new West Ham transfer hint to Tim Steidten for the January window.

The German technical director is in charge of the club’s recruitment.

And he is widely regarded to have overseen one of the most successful windows in West Ham’s modern history in the summer.

‘We’re trying to add to it’

Now the Scot has sent Steidten a message that he wants to continue to add to his new-look side.

“We’ve steadily gone along,” Moyes said pre-Fulham, as reported by The Mirror.

“I can only try to win the games and do what we’re doing. We’ve qualified for Europe after Christmas time, we’re in a League Cup quarter-final.

“We’d like to be first in the Premier League but we don’t quite have that quality or ability.

“We’re trying to get back up there, we really are, but I’m fully aware that we’re in a period where we’re trying to make things better and integrate two or three players and we’re still probably trying to add to it as well.”

Let’s hope the manager gets his wish next month.
