There is a devastating new striker blow for West Ham after an exciting claim emerged about Serhou Guirassy.
With Gianluca Scamacca moved on and injured Michail Antonio in the swansong of his West Ham career, David Moyes’ undoubted transfer priority is a striker.
But don’t take our word for it, the Hammers boss admitted in a live TV interview after the win over Spurs that he wants to sign a new striker in January.
West Ham have been linked with plenty of them and one in particular which has captured the imagination.
Stuttgart striker Serhour Guirassy has been linked with a move to West Ham all season.

Devastating new striker blow for West Ham
German technical director Tim Steidten knows all about Guirassy.
We’ve been reporting recently on claims from multiple sources about West Ham preparing a move for red hot forward.
What Steidten wants, he usually gets – as West Ham found out to their benefit during the summer transfer window.
There was encouragement that the 27-year-old is the man West Ham are eyeing in the January transfer window when Hammers News spoke to a top source inside the club who confirmed certain African players are high on the club’s list of targets.
Then this week German outlet BILD claimed the Hammers have a ‘concrete interest’ in signing Guirassy this winter, and would have to pay just €17.5 million (£15 million) to make it happen.
But there’s a devastating new striker blow for West Ham after that exciting claim about Guirassy.

Milan worry after exciting Guirassy claim
Because multiple reports out of Italy claim European giants AC Milan have made him their number one target for the January window.
Calciomercato believes that Milan are pushing for Guirassy and that the January transfer window is the target.
And Football Italia report Milan are seriously pushing to get a deal in place for next month.
Although West Ham have proved they can beat top clubs to signings with Steidten on board, luring Guirassy to east London over Milan would be a tough task.
Even if Italian legend Giorgio Chiellini has stated West Ham are as good as the best teams in Serie A.
The all-action 16-goal hitman would be the perfect heir to Antonio.
With Steidten involved there’s always hope. But this is not good news for the Hammers at all.
