Has the identity of an African duo West Ham want in January already been unveiled after our top source’s transfer update?
That’s the question we’re asking today after a major insight into West Ham’s plans for the January transfer window in a Hammers News exclusive yesterday.
With widespread reports that West Ham have no money to spend in the winter window due to being on UEFA’s FFP watchlist, we sought some clarification from the top source inside the club.
What we were told was a lot more encouraging than some of the reports claiming there will be no new arrivals in January for the Hammers.

Not only are the FFP claims described as only ‘partially’ true.
But the Hammers are already lining up targets – with the source revealing some of them will be going to AFCON.
Squad space is an issue. But West Ham have a host of fringe players who can be moved on such as Aaron Cresswell, Ben Johnson and Maxwel Cornet to name but a few.
However has the identity of an African duo West Ham want in January already been unveiled after our top source’s transfer update?

West Ham have clear priorities to sign a striker and a left-back in January.
And they say there is no smoke without fire.
So tallying the club’s priority positions with recent West Ham transfer links and our source’s revelation that the Hammers are targeting African players leads us to two very exciting potential signings.
West Ham have been heavily linked with red hot Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy in recent months.
Guirassy has started the season on fire and is one of the leading goalscorers across Europe’s top leagues.

The Guinea international, who is said to be wanted by West Ham technical director Tim Steidten, will be going to AFCON.
Guirassy, 27, recently responded to reports linking him with a January move to West Ham.
West Ham have also been linked with Nigerian left-back Zaidu Sanusi – as reported on Hammers News at the weekend.
The flying Porto full-back is said to be another Steidten target. And he too will be going to AFCON.
Two excellent players who would massively improve West Ham and neither will necessarily break the bank.
Certainly ones to watch it would seem.
