Jacob Steinberg has shared an exciting update on a West Ham move for Ibrahim Osman alternative Jota before deadline day.
West Ham are said to be pushing to sign both Ibrahim Osman and Jota but the deals are far from straightforward.
Last week we were exclusively told by the top source inside West Ham that an opening bid to Danish side Nordsjællands for Osman had been knocked back.
Negotiations have continued for the 19-year-old, who has been dropping hints he is keen to join West Ham with his social media activity.

Focus switches to Jota after Osman issues
There was disappointment yesterday when Hammers board confidant Sean Whetstone claimed the move for Osman is in doubt.
But last night Fabrizio Romano insisted the move is still very much on the cards as West Ham worked to resolves differences with his club.
While that deal is stalling, West Ham have turned their attentions to former Celtic hero Jota.
With Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals both possible departures before the window closes, the Hammers have been linked with a loan move for the Portuguese ace.

Steinberg’s exciting update but there’s a taxing problem
According to talkSPORT West Ham have emerged as the favourites to sign Jota, who has endured a torrid – albeit very well paid – spell in Saudi Arabia.
Now a Guardian journalist with strong contacts at the club has revealed the latest, claiming there is concerted effort to get Jota in the door. Although it’s not proving simple.
Jacob Steinberg has shared an exciting update on a West Ham move for Osman alternative Jota.
“Main obstacle for Jota to West Ham on loan is the tax issue,” Steinberg said.

‘Really keen’
“Some think it’s impossible to resolve.
“But West Ham are really keen to get a winger on loan.”
Steinberg was following up on news he put out last night stating: “West Ham are exploring a loan deal for Al Ittihad winger Jota after hitch in their move for Ibrahim Osman. A very complicated signing to pull off because of the finances but it’s possible.”
The tax Steinberg refers to is what would be due on his whopping £200k per week earnings. Because Jota would have had to be out of the UK for two years to avoid paying tax on those earnings.
Hammers News spoke to a top Celtic journalist about Jota.
And he claims West Ham will be signing a born entertainer if they can get him to the London Stadium.
