West Ham United are believed to now be chasing the signing of a forward, after agreeing a deal to sign Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City.
The deal to bring Kalvin Phillips to West Ham has now been all but confirmed, medical pending, but David Moyes isn’t finished there it seems.
The Hammers seem to be on the cusp of something really special. However, it could be argued that we’re still short of a top-class attacker, a centre-back and a right-back…if we’re being picky.
Now it seems like we could get the first of those problems sorted this winter, with a cheeky loan move for a highly talented 24-year-old attacker in the January transfer window.
Jota of Al-Ittihad – a player we were linked with just a few days ago – is now being targeted by West Ham, with Moyes eyeing up a loan deal to bring the Portuguese ace to the London Stadium this winter…

West Ham eyeing forward swoop after Kalvin Phillips signing
According to Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the Hammers want to sign Jota on loan from Saudi side Al-Ittihad before next week’s transfer deadline.
The 24-year-old has experienced an incredibly tough time out in Saudi Arabia, since joining Al-Ittihad from Celtic for around £25 million back in July (Sky Sports).
He was dropped from their squad due to the ‘eight foreign player’ rule, and has played only 11 games for the Saudi Pro League side, scoring just two goals in the process (Transfermarkt).
In spite of that, I think he’d be a fine addition for us. His record at Celtic proved how good he is, with 28 goals and 26 assists in 83 games to his name during his time with the Glasgow giants (Transfermarkt).
Jota is a bag of tricks, possesses exceptional technical ability, and he can play anywhere along the frontline.
If West Ham manage to secure the signing of Jota on loan as well as bringing Kalvin Phillips into the club, we’ll be in great shape.
