West Ham United have signed Kalvin Phillips on loan from Manchester City, and we have an option to buy the midfielder in the summer.
Kalvin Phillips is finally set to join West Ham United from Man City, with his medical booked in for tomorrow.
Hammers boss David Moyes is on the verge of drastically strengthening his central midfield ranks with the addition of the 28-year-old.
West Ham will have a seriously strong midfield when Phillips arrives at the London Stadium – exciting times indeed for the club.

However, a hugely surprising detail of the 28-year-old’s loan move to the Hammers has just emerged.
Fabrizio Romano has just made a fresh claim that will surprise many of the West Ham fans…
Kalvin Phillips twist after West Ham ‘done deal’
Fabrizio Romano has taken to his official X account to provide an update on the deal to bring Phillips to the London Stadium from the Etihad…
So the Phillips deal was instigated by Tim Steidten rather than Moyes. Wow, I have a lot of trouble believing that.
The German director of football has made a name for himself by unearthing hidden gems, and usually likes to sign players in their early to mid-twenties – just look at the summer signings of Mohammed Kudus, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Edson Alvarez.
Meanwhile, Moyes has been linked with a move to sign Kalvin Phillips since January 2022 – 18 months before Steidten arrived at the London Stadium.
I don’t believe for one minute that the DOF was the driving force behind the Kalvin Phillips to West Ham transfer. This one has Moyes’s prints all over it, not that I’m unhappy with the deal – his injury problems aside.
The England international has missed 236 days of action though injury since the start of the 2020/21 season. I just can’t see Tim Steidten moving for a player with a record like that, but I could be wrong of course.
And if Romano is suggesting that, then there may well be some kind of truth behind it.
