Exciting target Ibrahim Osman has dropped a huge hint he could join West Ham via transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.

With a loan deal for Kalvin Phillips all but done West Ham switched their sights to signing winger Ibrahim Osman, as reported on Hammers News this week.

The Hammers now have exactly one week left to make signings in the January transfer window.

Yesterday we were exclusively told by the top source inside West Ham that an opening bid to Danish side Nordsjællands for Osman had been knocked back.

Negotiations are continuing to sign the talented 19-year-old Ghanaian, who is a product of the same Right to Dream academy as Mohammed Kudus.

Osman gets social-able with West Ham

And it seems there has been an encouraging sign from the player himself.

Because exciting target Osman has dropped a huge hint he could join West Ham via Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer reporter posted on social media about West Ham closing in on the signing of Phillips from Man City.

And as negotiations between West Ham and Nordsjællands ramp up for Osman, he liked Romano’s post about the imminent Hammers transfer.

That was seen as significant by Romano himself who responded with a “look” emoji when Osman’s activity was highlighted by a West Ham fan account.

Social media plays a big part in the modern game, especially when it comes to transfers.

And Osman suddenly engaging with posts about the club he is being tipped to join is clearly not just a coincidence.

West Ham fans have been enthused about the signing by footage of Osman online. But the fact he also comes from the same stable of talent as Kudus gives supporters great faith too.

Osman can operate across the forward line and either wing. He also very much fits the recruitment philosophy of Hammers technical director Tim Steidten.

Crucially, though, he looks to be just what David Moyes needs right now.

Especially with the injury to Lucas Paqueta and the likes of Said Benrahma, Maxwel Cornet and Pablo Fornals expected to move on now or in ths summer.
