Crysencio Summerville issued a coy response on his future at West Ham United following recent links with the likes of AS Roma, Napoli and Premier League relegation rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Ahead of Saturday’s 8pm kick-off at home to Manchester City, Summerville moved to ease those fears following a calf injury he picked up against Brentford in the FA Cup fifth-round.
The Rotterdam-born winger will be unavailable to face Pep Guardiola’s side. Hammers News have been told that Summerville may still be absent against Aston Villa in the final league match before the international break.

West Ham United should, therefore, have their star man back with at least seven top-flight fixtures remaining.
Speaking to Algemeen Dagblad, though Crysencio Summerville was not quite so definitive when the topic of discussion turned to his future.
Crysencio Summerville says ‘we’ll see’ when discussing West Ham United future
West Ham rebuffed an approach from AS Roma in January, per Fabrizio Romano.
Reported interest from Tottenham was played down by Spurs insider Alisdair Gold, not that Summerville will be in any rush to re-join Mohammed Kudus in North London anyway as relegation looms for Igor Tudor and co. But speculation is certain to ramp up, such has been the winger’s electrifying form in 2026.

“Things happen the way they happen,” Summerville said when initially explaining his decision to leave Feyenoord for Leeds half a decade ago. “I have taken a different path.
“Where will that take me? First, staying in the league with West Ham. Then, we’ll see.”
Napoli eye Summerville after Roma rejection in January
It appears Summerville is leaving the doors open to every eventuality.
Antonio Conte’s Napoli are the latest to be linked with a forward who, after no goals in 14 months at West Ham, exploded into life with seven in his last eleven appearances.
Is this just a purple patch or is Summerville really one of the best forwards in the Premier League? 🤔
Napoli may be in the market for a left winger after selling Noa Lang to Galatasaray. Alisson Santos, while impressing in recent Serie A outings, also faces an uncertain future. Alisson is only on loan at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona from Sporting Lisbon.
Romano, meanwhile, believes that West Ham would only consider cashing in if they receive a ‘crazy offer’.
“Roma did try for Summerville. West Ham are not letting the player go,” Romano said back in January.
“For West Ham, he is untouchable unless crazy offers arrive.“
