West Ham United have made two signings in the January transfer window so far, while six players have left either on permanent deals or loans.
Nuno Espirito Santo urgently needs to bolster his ranks further still in the January transfer window, if he is to have any chance of keeping his West Ham side in the Premier League this season.
West Ham could be set to lose Lucas Paqueta as well, with Flamengo closing in on a deal to sign the Brazilian.
The Hammers need to sign a top-class central defender, an extremely athletic central midfielder and maybe a goalkeeper as well at the very least before the January window slams shut.
Summerville, Todibo and Mavropanos are firing at last!
Is your view of the Tim Steidten era changing? Or has the damage been done? 💸
The last thing West Ham need over the next week is for one of their best players to leave for pastures new.
However, every player has a price.
And that’s no different when it comes to one of the Hammers’ elite performers in recent weeks.
Roma want West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville in the January transfer window
Crysencio Summerville is clearly someone who West Ham will be desperate to keep in the January window.
However, it seems as though if a massive offer is made, the Hammers board will consider selling him.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano who explained the current situation on his YouTube channel.
“Crysencio Summerville, the West Ham winger, for whom Roma made an important attempt,“ Romano said.

“I’ve also seen confirmations abroad following the news we reported live.
“I can tell you that it was an attempt made with the intention of buying Summerville, so potentially a loan with an obligation to buy – unlike Carrasco, who for Roma was only ever a loan opportunity.“
Roma are obviously very keen to sign Summerville, and are even willing to insert an ‘obligation to buy’ clause into the deal.
West Ham are standing strong, though, and rightly so too.
‘Crazy offer’ required for ‘untouchable’ Summerville
Romano continued to discuss Summerville’s future and outlined how ‘West Ham are not letting the player go’ this month.
However, that could change if a monumental offer comes in for the Dutchman’s services.
Urmmmmm….what?! How would you feel if West Ham SOLD Summerville to Spurs?! 🤔
Romano said: “Roma did try for Summerville, but this is a story from last Friday and Saturday, something I shared more as background than as breaking news, because at the moment West Ham are not letting the player go.
“For West Ham, he is untouchable unless crazy offers arrive.“
The prospect of losing Summerville will be a seriously daunting one for West Ham fans to digest, such is his quality.
However, it’s clear to see that the Hammers have no interest in selling the 24-year-old winger this month.
Unless, as Romano says, a club make a crazy offer for Summerville, he will still be at the London Stadium beyond the end of the January transfer window.
