Big Jesse Lingard update provided by West Ham insider

Claret and Hugh have provided a fresh Jesse Lingard update amidst reports linking the Manchester United ace with a move to West Ham in January.

The 28-year-old Manchester United ace is already making arrangements to move back to the London Stadium from Old Trafford according to The Sun.

Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly a very big fan of Lingard.

The 32-capped England international played a key role for West Ham during his loan spell in East London last season, bagging nine goals and four assists in just 16 Premier League games.

He returned to Manchester United in the summer but unfortunately for Jesse, he has barely featured for his boyhood club.

Rumours linking Lingard with a move back to West Ham have been stoked by his brother Louie Scott. It was believed that he was Jesse’s agent.

Claret and Hugh have dismissed those claims, however.

Fresh Jesse Lingard update

Hammers insiders C&H reckon that in fact, Lingard’s father – Roy George is handling his affairs, not his brother Louie Scott.

It is also suggested that David Moyes still really wants to re-sign Jesse.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking from Man United may have a bearing on what happens with the 28-year-old in the future as well.

Surely Jesse has to leave Manchester United in order to salvage any hopes he has of making Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup in Qatar next year.

There is just such intense competition for places at Old Trafford in the position that Lingard likes to operate.

If he returns to the London Stadium, he will have a better than fair chance of playing week in week out under Moyes.

The one real worry is the fact that C&H claims that Lingard’s father and agent played a key role in the decision for his son to return to Manchester United in the summer.

If West Ham can pick Lingard up for somewhere around £8-12 million in January it seems like an absolute no-brainer for all parties involved.

Jesse would be a huge addition for West Ham in January. Let’s just hope that his father helps facilitate the move.
