West Ham were recently linked with a move to sign River Plate forward Julian Alvarez (El Intrasigente).

The 21-year-old is valued at around €25 million (£21 million) according to El Intrasigente.
If the Hammers are going to sign a striker in January, we will not be able to do any better than the young Argentinian ace.
David Moyes has overseen a drastic turnaround in fortunes for West Ham since taking over at the London Stadium in December 2019.

In order to take us on even further though, the addition of a top-class striker in January will be a necessity. That certainly needs to happen if we are to finish inside the top four this season.
West Ham signing Julian Alvarez for £21 million would be a real coup
The young River Plate hitman is a truly exceptional player.
Alvarez has been on fire for River Plate so far this season with 16 goals and six assists to his name in just 17 games (Transfermarkt).
He possesses blistering pace, is strong in the air and on the ground and plays with typical Argentinian heart and passion.
In other words, he’s the absolutely perfect signing for David Moyes and would slot into the current West Ham team seamlessly.
The Argentina international seems to be a generational talent and what an exciting addition he would be at the London Stadium.

£21 million for Alvarez sounds like sensational business to us.
The big problem for West Ham is that the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are chasing his signature as well.
We are a totally different club now to what we were two years ago though. The Hammers are now seen as an attractive prospect for potential new signings.
If Moyes is going to make one signing in January it should be Alvarez.
