West Ham boss Moyes is desperate to bring Lingard back to the London Stadium in January according to The Daily Mail and club insiders Claret and Hugh.

ESPN suggest that the 28-year-old is unhappy with his lack of game-time at Old Trafford under Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And The Daily Mail reckon that Man United could accept a fee of around £10 million for Lingard in January.

Or would they?

It seems as though Lingard’s brother doesn’t think so. And he sent a very clear message to the West Ham fans on Instagram:

I can only speak for myself of course, but having Jesse back is surely something to get really excited about.

Those who say he wouldn’t get in the team have very short memories.

Added to that, we will be without Said Benrahma for up to six weeks after the new year when he heads of to the Africa Cup of Nations with Algeria.

Signing Lingard should be an absolute no-brainer.

He will strengthen Moyes’s options considerably.
