David Moyes reportedly could bring Jonas Wind to West Ham

West Ham boss David Moyes is weighing up a move to sign FC Copenhagen striker Jonas Wind in January according to a report from the Evening Standard.

The Hammers manager desperately needs to bring in more competition and cover for Michail Antonio at the London Stadium.

Given our current position in the Premier League and the fact that we’ve qualified for the next stage of the Europa League, having just one senior striker quite simply isn’t acceptable.

If West Ham are to finish inside the top four and challenge in the latter stages of Europe, the addition of a top-class striker in January will be an absolute necessity.

And it seems as though Moyes has his eyes set on a potential new addition.

West Ham boss David Moyes eyeing Jonas Wind swoop

The Evening Standard claims that the 22-year-old is very much on the Hammers’ radar.

Signing Wind from FC Copenhagen would be a huge coup for West Ham.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Wind has great hold up play & ability in the air. He’s agile and fairly quick as well. The Dane presses from the front, has tireless energy, is a good finisher and seems to fit the mould of a David Moyes signing perfectly.

Football scouting and analytical website Breaking the Lines describe Jonas Wind as a physically imposing yet technically gifted striker.

We believe that the Copenhagen ace would be the absolutely ideal January signing for West Ham.

Ekstra Bladet reckon he could be available for around £11.4 million. That seems like superb value for Wind given his quality and age.
