West Ham player wants to leave London Stadium in January

Lukasz Fabianski wants out of the London Stadium, and he’s not prepared to wait until his contract expires in eight month’s time.

It was recently suggested that Moyes is actually eyeing up a move to sign David De Gea to replace the experienced Polish stopper.

The 38-year-old goalkeeper joined the Hammers from Swansea City in the summer of 2018 for around £7 million (talkSPORT).

He has gone on to be an excellent signing for West Ham, and has made 179 appearances in all competitions for the club, conceding 234 goals and keeping 46 clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).

However, he has had to make do with a role on the bench in the Premier League this season, with Alphonse Areola being promoted as the club’s new number one at the start of the campaign.

Fabianski is clearly not happy with that situation and made that very clear during the early stages of the season when he suggested that he had been treated disrespectfully by Moyes.

If West Ham player wants to leave, let him go…

Moyes shouldn’t think twice about letting Fab leave in the January window, as good as he has undoubtedly been for us over the past five years.

We have Joseph Anang coming up through the ranks, and he’ll be able to provide able cover for Areola. Even if Moyes doesn’t agree with that notion, then he can always sign an experienced goalkeeper when the winter window opens.

If the Hammers manage to get any kind of fee for Fabianski, it would be a huge bonus. He’s free to start pre-contract talks with foreign clubs in January, but if he doesn’t want to wait until next summer to leave the club, we will be due a transfer fee.

If the West Ham player truly wants to leave the London Stadium in the January transfer window, plans should be put in place now to make it happen, so we’re not scrambling around for a replacement goalkeeper at the last minute.
