West Ham United are apparently keen to sign Kelechi Iheanacho from Leicester City in the January transfer window.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Kelechi Iheanacho is firmly on the West Ham radar ahead of the January transfer window.
Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a new striker this winter, although the Scot is said to still be in full support of Michail Antonio.
And Iheanacho, 27, is someone who has been linked with a move to West Ham before – in the summer in fact.
Antonio’s form has been utterly dreadful this season, and it seems like he’s putting more effort into his podcast than he is on doing what he’s supposed to do on the pitch.
Now Moyes is apparently on the hunt for a big upgrade…

West Ham apparently could sign Kelechi Iheanacho to replace £100k/pw man
Michail Antonio needs to be moved on as a matter of urgency in my opinion, and it seems like we could have some strong competition for him at the very least from January onwards.
The £100k-a-week forward is apparently open to leaving the London Stadium, and if that happens, the Leicester City man would be a solid replacement in my opinion.
Iheanacho has bagged 100 goals in 343 appearances for club and country (Transfermarkt). Whilst that isn’t the most prolific of records, his hold up play is very good indeed, and he possesses exceptional technical ability.
He would be a major improvement on Antonio as far as I’m concerned.
I think Kelechi Iheanacho would be a very smart singing for West Ham this winter, as long as he is available for a reasonable fee of course.
However, it is claimed that the Hammers could face competition from Crystal Palace and Brentford in the race for the Nigerian’s signature.
