An update on West Ham United duo Kurt Zouma and Maxwel Cornet has been provided ahead of our Premier League clash with Brighton.

Claret and Hugh, who has close connections with David Sullivan have given an update on the France and Ivory Coast internationals, after their lengthy spells on the sidelines.

David Moyes has mixed things up over the last week, and set his Hammers team up with more attacking intent.

In fairness to the Scot, he has had to deal with a horrendously bad injury list at the London Stadium this season. Zouma and Cornet are two players who have missed big parts of the season.

The West Ham duo recently returned to first-team training. But will either of them be ready to feature against Brighton tomorrow?

Claret and Hugh reckon that whilst the 28-year-old centre-back and the 26-year-old winger are both technically fit, neither of them will be ready to play a part against Brighton tomorrow.

That’s a big blow for the Hammers as far as I’m concerned.

A trip away to Brighton is daunting enough as it is, given our awful record against the south coast club.

West Ham desperately need some kind of result against the Seagulls tomorrow, and our chances of getting a draw or a win would have increased, had Zouma and Cornet been ready to at least feature from the substitutes bench.

However, it appears as though that will not be the case, with C&H claiming that it’s almost ‘impossible’ that Moyes will use either of them tomorrow.

In a way, that’s a good thing, because at least Moyes isn’t rushing them back to action. Kurt Zouma has been out since the middle of January whilst Maxwel Cornet hasn’t played since October 1st.

Hopefully they both return to action next week against Aston Villa, because we certainly need them back and ready to feature for that game.
