A report has claimed that the West Ham owners have made a complete U-turn on David Moyes, with his Hammers future flipped on its head.

West Ham manager David Moyes has been under intense pressure at the London Stadium since Premier League action stopped for the World Cup break back in November.

There were various reports suggesting that the 60-year-old Scot was just one game away from the sack, with managers like Rafa Benitez and Sean Dyche being lined up to replace him.

Since the last international break though, Moyes has steadied the ship, leading people to believe that his job as Hammers boss was safe, for now at least.

In spite of that, a recent report claimed that Moyes will be moved on from his role as West Ham boss at the end of the season, regardless of what happens over the course of the next month.

However, it seems as though the owners may well have changed their minds yet again…

According to a report from the Telegraph, the Hammers board are now open to Moyes remaining at the London Stadium.

However, there is a caveat that his ability to win the Europa Conference League will have a big impact on whether he stays or leaves.

Here’s the thing – I strongly feel like we need a change of manager in order to make some real progress next season and beyond.

Moyes has done a terrific job in charge of the Hammers by guiding us to back-to-back European semi-finals and a sixth and seventh placed finish in the Premier League.

However, he clearly has a ceiling as a manager. He demonstrated the same limitations during his lengthy spell in charge of Everton.

I would love to see us move on to the next level by appointing a young, innovative manager when David Moyes leaves his post at West Ham.

The thing is, our performance against Manchester United last night was probably enough to keep him in his job. What happens in Europe over the next few weeks could prove to be crucial regarding the Scot’s future in East London though.
