Report claims Jose Mourinho has been offered a mega money West Ham United contract.

That’s according to a report from La Roma 24 who claim that West Ham offered Jose Mourinho a €10 million (£8.75 million) per year, three-year deal.

That equates to a mammoth €30 million (£26.2 million) over the course of the three-year contract.

Current Hammers boss David Moyes is in all sorts of trouble with his side currently sitting level on points with 18th placed Bournemouth in the Premier League table.

It was recently reported that Mourinho is someone who the West Ham owners were eyeing up to replace Moyes, but the Portuguese had no interest in moving to the London Stadium.

And now the Italian media have backed up those claims with some more information…

Jose Mourinho offered mammoth West Ham contract

La Roma 24 claims that the Hammers offered the 60-year-old £8.75 million per year to take over from Moyes at the London Stadium.

Jose rejected the offer from West Ham though.

That’s fair enough, I certainly don’t blame him considering the mess that we’re currently in. It’s such a shame that managers with Mourinho’s calibre seem to be out of our reach at the moment.

Sure, the Portuguese boss isn’t the manager that he once was but he’s still on another level entirely to Moyes.

Some people will say that Mourinho’s football is just as turgid as Moyes’s but it’s absolutely not true. Just look at his Chelsea side from 2004-2007.

Or look at some of the football his Roma side are currently playing! He’s a winner as well, with three Premier League titles, two Primeira Liga, two Serie A, one La Liga and two Champions League titles to his name.

I would absolutely love Jose Mourinho to take over from David Moyes at West Ham.

Unfortunately for us though, it seems as though there is no chance of that happening.
