David Moyes made truly mind-boggling claim to reporters just before West Ham United vs Southampton game.

West Ham beat Southampton 1-0 this afternoon at the London Stadium.

The win was obviously the most important thing but the football really was dire. It was a painful watch for pretty much the entire 90 minutes.

David Moyes has so much work to do, and more importantly be willing to change, if he is to get the fans back onside.

The negative football that we’ve been forced to endure this season is an utter joke really, especially when considering the amount of quality players we have at the club.

However, the Scot seems to be absolutely oblivious to just how bad the standard of the Hammers‘ football has been this season…

The Hammers boss spoke to Sky Sports just before the kick-off today (Sunday April 2nd, 1:39pm).

And Moyes responded when asked what it has been like for him and his players to go three weeks without a Premier League game:

“Well we finished in really good form (before the international break), with a good 4-0 win in the Conference League. Unfortunately our game with Manchester City was off, so we couldn’t have a game. But it gave us some time to get refreshed.”

That really is incredible from Moyes. Unbelievable in fact.

The Hammers were in terrible form. Before today, West Ham had won just one Premier League game since January.

Sure, we had a couple of decent results in Europe but come on, just look at the level of opposition we faced.

David Moyes is deluded in my opinion. The win today against Southampton was vital but with that man in charge, I still really worry about West Ham’s survival hopes this season.
