West Ham United managerial target Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen to secure a dramatic return to Tottenham Hotspur.

That’s according to a report from The Sun who claim that Mauricio Pochettino likes the idea of a Tottenham return, in spite of being linked to the West Ham job.

It is suggested that current Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is on the verge of being sacked, and the 51-year-old Argentine is being lined up as his replacement.

That is obviously bad news for West Ham United. The East London outfit’s owners are allegedly plotting an ambitious move to appoint Mauricio Pochettino this summer.

Hammers boss David Moyes is under real pressure at the London Stadium, and the appointment of a new manager at the end of the season is an absolute must tin my opinion, if we are to make genuine progress as a club.

However, it seems as though Spurs may be in a stronger position than us to secure Poch’s signature…

According to a report from The Sun, the South American is eyeing a return to North London to take over at Spurs.

That would be a hammer blow for West Ham. Sure, Pochettino was always an ambitious replacement for Moyes but you’ve got to aim high right?

West Ham appointing Mauricio Pochettino in the summer would be an absolute dream. Andros Townsend recently labelled Pochettino as ‘the best manager in the world’ ahead of the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp (talkSPORT).

The 51-year-old Argentine has been out of work since getting sacked from Paris Saint-Germain last year.

He is exactly the kind of managerial appointment we should be making – someone who places big trust in young players, deploys a high press with high intensity and oozes energy and passion on the touchline.

David Moyes just isn’t the man to guide us to success in the future in my option. His archaic methods and negative playing style are really holding West Ham back, what with the amount of quality players the Scot has at his disposal.

Mauricio Pochettino would be the perfect man for the job at the London Stadium but unfortunately for us, he seemingly has unfinished business at Tottenham. And losing out on the former PSG boss to our bitter rivals would be a huge kick in the teeth for us.
