Manuel Lanzini will surely start for West Ham against Newcastle on Wednesday night, after the Tomas Soucek horror show yesterday.
West Ham need the creativity and composure in possession of Manuel Lanzini against Newcastle.

Tomas Soucek started the game against Southampton yesterday and put in arguably the worst performance I have ever seen from a central midfielder in the Premier League.

West Ham need to start the game on the front foot on Wednesday night, and in our other remaining matches.
The perfect person to help us do that is Manuel Lanzini.
If the 30-year-old is not selected by David Moyes at the London Stadium this week, the Argentine will surely know that his days with the club are numbered…
Manuel Lanzini surely has to start for West Ham vs Newcastle
The 30-year-old is actually out of contract at the London Stadium at the end of this season. And despite the fact that the Hammers have the option to extend that deal by a further two years, he could leave for absolutely nothing in just three month’s time.
Lanzini joined the Hammers for around £9.4 million on a permanent deal in the summer of 2016 (The Express), having spent the 2015/16 campaign on loan at Upton Park.
He was a huge hit in East London…up until disaster struck for him in 2018. During the build-up to the World Cup out in Russia, Lanzini ruptured his ACL in training with Argentina.

Despite a mini renaissance during the second-half of the 2020/21 season, Manu has never been the same player since that injury, and it’s no surprise. Many players have failed to come back from it in the past.
However, when he has been given minutes this season, he has actually looked really bright.
The problem is that he has hardly played! The Hammers star has fallen well down the pecking order under Moyes this season, and has played just 144 minutes of Premier League football.
I just feel as though he could make a huge difference for us against Newcastle on Wednesday, what with the need to keep possession of the football. Tomas Soucek surely cannot start the match.
If Manuel Lanzini doesn’t start the game for West Ham though, it will be pretty clear as to how David Moyes views his future at the club.
