It looks like Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to leave Manchester United to join West Ham United this summer.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka first emerged as a transfer target for West Ham last summer, but it took another year for those links to become more concrete.
It has been claimed that Wan-Bissaka is very keen indeed to move to the London Stadium this summer, and he apparently has already agreed personal terms with the Hammers.
However, a fee for the former Crystal Palace man has not yet been agreed between the two clubs.
And it has been claimed that Manchester United are expecting the Hammers to make another bid for the 26-year-old imminently.
Julen Lopetegui clearly isn’t underestimating the need for an elite right-back this summer, with an upgrade on Vladimir Coufal required.
The Czech Republic international has been a very solid performer for us over the past four years, but he’s just not good enough any more to be starting regularly for a Premier League team with top seven aspirations.
This is what I love about Lopetegui – he identifies a weakness and tries to rectify it immediately. Now Wan-Bissaka seems to be on the verge of solving a huge issue we currently have.
Major new Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham claim
This transfer saga has been rumbling on for quite some time now.
And now seems like it’s the time for the Hammers to just get this one done and dusted.

Wan-Bissaka possesses blistering pace and is one of the very best tacklers in world football.
In my opinion, there aren’t any better defensive right-backs in the Premier League, and Owen Hargreaves once labelled him as ‘unplayable’ (TEAMtalk).
Meanwhile, he’s been described as explosive as well by the Athletic.
The Mirror claim that Manchester United could demand around £15 million for the right-back – a £35 million loss on what they paid for him five years ago.
West Ham are apparently prepared to pay around £10 million for him, so the two clubs will surely end up meeting in the middle for him.
And that’s what a top Sky Sports journalist has just alluded to.
Dharmesh Sheth took to his official X account to suggest that there is cautious optimism that a deal to bring Wan-Bissaka to the London Stadium can be done.
That’s because the two clubs are now not too far apart regarding the transfer fee itself, and the structure of the deal.
This really is great news, and it seems like we’re very close to bringing in a major upgrade on Vladimir Coufal.
With the 26-year-old Manchester United man’s recovery pace, Lopetegui will be able to get his team pressing really aggressively and high up the pitch.
West Ham signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer will be a major statement from the club. Let’s hope that it all gets wrapped up asap.
