Numerous high profile new summer signings could be about to descend on West Ham United it seems.
Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten are working round the clock to ensure that the West Ham squad is strong enough to compete on all fronts next season.
The Hammers head coach is clearly prioritising a deal to sign a new striker, and Jhon Duran appears to be a real possibility again after stuttering talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal for Niclas Fullkrug.
That said, the need for a new left winger and a right-back is just as urgent as that for a centre-forward in my eyes.
Said Benrahma recently left the club to join Lyon on a permanent deal, whilst Vladimir Coufal is not good enough to be starting every week for a club with top six aspirations.
That’s Lopetegui’s remit after all – to get West Ham back inside the European spots.
The Spaniard won’t be able to do that without signing at least three or four more top-class players this summer.
And now it seems like the Hammers chief is very close to considerably strengthening his ranks imminently…
West Ham in the process of securing four major summer signings
The Hammers’ summer transfer window took a while to kick into gear.
It’s all systems go now though, it seems, with Lopetegui and Steidten on a mission to get the squad up to scratch.

And now a new claim has been made a by a highly respected journalist about the club’s transfer plans.
German football journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that West Ham are currently in the process of trying to get FOUR summer signings over the line.
Exciting times indeed for the West Ham fans.
The deals being worked on by the Hammers are for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville, Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Fullkrug and Aston Villa centre-forward Jhon Duran.
I’m sure that the Wan-Bissaka and Summerville deals will be wrapped imminently, whereas it will be a case of one or the other when it comes to the two strikers mentioned.
If I’m being honest, I’m not really fussed either way which forward we sign, although my real preference would be the Villa hitman.
Either way, we seem to be on to something very special as a club.
Julen Lopetegui is building an incredibly exciting squad at the London Stadium it seems.
And West Ham are now closing in on some hugely impressive summer signings. Let’s hope that we manage to wrap them all up with the minimum of fuss.
