Vladimir Coufal reportedly could return to action for West Ham United against Brighton in the Premier League tomorrow afternoon.

West Ham are in desperate need of a good result against Brighton tomorrow, as we look to put some distance between us and the bottom three.

The fact that we are even in the position that we are in at the moment is beyond farcical, but it is what it is.

Hammers boss David Moyes has had a ridiculous amount of injuries to deal with at the London Stadium this season. The likes of Maxwel Cornet, Kurt Zouma, Gianluca Scamacca and Nayef Aguerd have all missed large chunks of the campaign at one time or another.

Vladimir Coufal is another who has struggled at times, and he had to be substituted at half-time last weekend because of a heel injury.

Whilst Zouma and Cornet will seemingly miss tomorrow’s clash with Brighton, the news regarding Coufal is far more positive…

Big fitness boost for West Ham ahead of Brighton clash

The 30-year-old right-back has finally started to rediscover his best form over the past couple of months.

So with that in mind, the heel injury that forced him off last weekend came at a really bad time.

However, Claret and Hugh reckon that the Czech Republic international could be set for a return to the starting XI against Brighton, having missed Wednesday’s FA Cup clash with Manchester United.

Having Vlad available tomorrow will be vitally important for us, considering his recent upturn in form.

And if Moyes played with a back four, Coufal is far better suited to the right-back role than Ben Johnson is.

West Ham desperately need at least a point against Brighton tomorrow afternoon.

And our chances of achieving that will improve greatly if Coufal is fit to start the match.
