West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has just taken a bit of a dig at the Arsenal fans.
Michail Antonio is well known by the West Ham fans for coming out with controversial statements, and now the Arsenal fans will be familiar with his game as well!
The 33-year-old recently risked the wrath of the Hammers fans by strangely suggesting that you can’t play ‘sexy’ football and achieve good results.
Gabby Agbonlahor criticised the Jamaica international earlier this season for being far too outspoken on the Footballer’s Football podcast.
He certainly displays a real lack of professionalism at times, like when he mocked Tottenham striker Richarlison last season for his lack of goals.
And this time, Antonio has taken aim at our London rivals Arsenal…

Michail Antonio says Arsenal fans are ‘outrageous’
When speaking on the Footballer’s Football podcast, Antonio took a swipe at the Gunners faithful.
Mikey explained why he finds the Arsenal fans so annoying:
“They annoy me. They’ll all come for me but they annoy me, like my family, my agent, and my friends. Because as soon as they are tiptoeing close to anything, they are the best team in the world. It’s actually unbelievable how delusional these people are. Some of the stuff they say is outrageous.”
I must admit, this is just another example of Antonio opening his mouth when he’d have been better off keeping quiet.
It just comes across as incredibly unprofessional, especially when he just hasn’t performed on the pitch for us this season, and I really don’t agree with footballers partaking in podcasts whilst the season is going on.
I’m all for a bit of banter between opposing football fans, but I just feel like the Jamaica international crosses the line at times, and the things he says never help us out. Remember when he backed West Ham to finish above Liverpool this season…wow!
Michail Antonio has done the Arsenal team-talk for them when they face us next season, and that’s why I have such a problem with his comments. You’d think he’d have learned from his mistakes by now.
