French club Reims have made a new Will Still claim that will have West Ham United and Sunderland fans wondering.
It has been widely reported that Sunderland were closing in on the appointment of alleged future West Ham managerial candidate and fan Will Still.
Sunderland held positive talks with Still according to a report from The Guardian.
And it comes against the backdrop of the Reims boss being consistently linked with his boyhood club West Ham.

Sunderland-linked Still dreams of West Ham
Still has repeatedly stated in various interviews that he dreams of managing his beloved West Ham, it was no surprise Still was linked as a potential replacement for David Moyes during the dark days of last season.
Indeed it was even claimed Still was on a six-man shortlist compiled by the West Ham board should they have parted ways with Moyes in the summer.
With Reims in the mix for a Champions League spot in Ligue 1 so far this season, it is perhaps somewhat inevitable Still will be linked with the West Ham job again given the incessant speculation surrounding Moyes’ future beyond the end of the current campaign – when the Scot’s contract expires.
Sunderland target Still has certainly not been doing anything to play that down.

Club’s claim will have West Ham and Sunderland fans wondering
Last month – with Moyes’ future being questioned – he once again publicly admitted it is his dream to manage West Ham.
Then Still was seen at the London Stadium watching the win over Nottingham Forest. And that sparked rumours online that he met with West Ham’s majority owner David Sullivan during his visit.
Sullivan spoke out on those rumours and said he admires the Reims boss but insists it would be ‘too big a risk’. Although he did add the caveat ‘never say never’.
Now the French club’s new Still claim will have West Ham and Sunderland fans wondering.

Journo lifts lid on new Still twist
According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Reims are furious will Still for holding talks with Sunderland after it emerged it was the Hammers fan who initiated them.
And it is claimed Still has defended himself to the Ligue 1 club’s board denying that he wants to join Sunderland.
While that’s bad news for Sunderland, Hawkins adds that Reims have let it be known they expect to lose Still in the summer ‘due to the constant interest in his services in France and England’.
Not only that but it has been revealed Still also has a clause in his contract which means he can leave the Reims in 2024 if he is approached.
With Moyes out of contract at the end of the season and many expecting West Ham to part ways with the Scot, the new claims will certainly have fans of West Ham – and Sunderland – wondering.
