The 26-year-old Hammers defender has really turned things around over the past few weeks with some truly outstanding displays – none more so than his fabulous performance in the Conference League semi-final last night.

The turnaround really started for Kehrer with his unbelievable performance against Manchester United just under two weeks ago.

He then backed that up with another brilliant display against AZ Alkmaar at the London Stadium last week. And the German displayed his quality once again out in The Netherlands last night…

Complete U-turn from West Ham ace Thilo Kehrer after unreal performance vs AZ Alkmaar

Hammers boss David Moyes brought Kehrer to the London Stadium from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 for around £13 million.

However, the German proved to be a liability for West Ham during the first half of the campaign. In truth, his poor form went on for a lot longer than that.

It seems as though the former PSG man has made a complete U-turn though, and is now starting to show why he’s been capped for Germany 26 times.

Thilo Kehrer did absolutely everything right for West Ham against Alkmaar. We will let him off for nearly scoring an own goal towards the end of the game!

He kept Alkmaar danger man Jesper Karlsson quiet all night, and looked cool, calm and collected whenever he needed to defend.

What a turnaround it’s been for Kehrer over the past few weeks – his defending during the first eight or nine months of the season was anything but composed!

The German could end up being an absolute legend for West Ham, and none of us were saying that a few weeks ago were we!
