Sensational West Ham player was in a class of his own vs AZ Alkmaar
Wow, what a performance that was from our Brazilian magnifico tonight!
Lucas Paqueta was quite simply sensational for the Hammers at the AFAS Stadium against Alkmaar.
The 25-year-old was constantly trying to make things happen and took responsibility time and time again in the middle of the park for West Ham.
He was really unlucky not to open the scoring for the Hammers when his shot from the edge of the penalty box hit the outside of the post.

Paqueta demonstrated real strength throughout the game as well, holding up the ball and giving the rest of his team time to recover whenever they were on the back foot.
The talented South American has clearly fully settled into life with the Hammers now, after a slow start at the London Stadium.
He makes us so much of a better side, and the partnership that he has forged with Declan Rice has been a joy to witness over the past few months.
The 25-year-old proved tonight just how vital he is to Moyes’s team.
West Ham got the result that we needed against AZ Alkmaar tonight, and Lucas Paqueta played a key role in us making it to the final out in Prague.
