Vice-captain Aaron Cresswell has issued a West Ham rallying call but some fans are far from convinced by the forced nature of his comments.
The blame game has been in full swing at West Ham in recent weeks with most of it being laid at the door of David Moyes.
There have been claims of discontent behind the scenes between players, staff and the boss.
Of course Moyes, as manager, has to take the lion’s share of the responsibility for performances at West Ham.
But, as rightly pointed out by the likes of Jamie Redknapp, the Newcastle horror show saw the spotlight turn on the players.

West Ham’s attentions now turn to a crucial clash with Fulham and in Declan Rice’s words ‘putting things right’.
One of Rice’s vice-captains at West Ham is Aaron Cresswell.
The left-back has been displaced in the first team by Emerson who – after a recent upturn in performances – was poor again in the Newcastle defeat.
Now Cresswell has issued a West Ham rallying call but some fans are far from convinced by the forced nature of his comments.
Cresswell fronted the Sky Sports cameras ahead of the Hammers’ game against Fulham.
And he tried to paint a picture of a team that was very much together, behind the manager and determined to make amends.
West Ham fans are not stupid. And many feel the comments seemed forced, insincere and very much like lip service.
You can judge for yourself in the video post below.

Aaron Cresswell issues West Ham rallying call but some fans are far from convinced by forced nature of comments
One look at the comments from some of the West Ham faithful under the video tell you everything you need to know about what they thought of the platitudes from Cresswell.
Of course Cresswell isn’t going to come out and slate the manager and his teammates.
But let’s have some honesty and realism – like we got in refreshing fashion from Jarrod Bowen in midweek.
Bowen has been one of the few who looks genuinely determined to work his socks off every minute of every game for West Ham of late.
And he labelled the Newcastle performance ’embarrassing’ while also telling his teammates to stop brushing the fact they are in a relegation battle under the carpet.
After all there has been no evidence to suggest what Cresswell is saying is the case at Rush Green judging by performances and results this season.
Fans were also seriously concerned by video footage from Hammers training ahead of the Fulham clash.
Let’s hope there are some actions behind Cresswell’s words out there on the pitch for the rest of the season, starting at Craven Cottage.
