Jesse Lingard is still very much on the radar of West Ham United and the Manchester United ace’s brother is making it very clear that he wants a return to the London Stadium.

That’s according to ExWHUemployee.

Lingard enjoyed a fabulous four-month loan spell at the London Stadium with the Hammers last season.

He bagged an incredible nine goals and four assists in just 16 Premier League games for West Ham.

Unfortunately for us though, he returned to Manchester United in the summer.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Things haven’t quite gone to plan for Jesse back at Old Trafford, however.

Lingard has played just 63 minutes in the Premier League under Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.

That clearly isn’t enough football for someone with the 28-year-old’s quality. And he quite simply must leave Old Trafford in January if he is to reinvigorate his career once again.

Jesse Lingard return on the cards

The 28-year-old is out of contract with Manchester United in the summer.

And Jesse Lingard could be set to leave Old Trafford before then.

ExWHUemployee speculated that a West Ham return could be on the cards for Jesse, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast:

“Talking of players in January, Lingard is still very much on the radar and his brother is making it very, very clear about his frustrations at Manchester United and then reacting positively to West Ham’s results so if you read between the lines, there is a strong case to say that Lingard could be coming back in January.”

Lingard returning in January would be a huge boost for the Hammers.

Not only would he provide strong competition for our three attacking midfielders but he would also be a decent backup to Michail Antonio.

Lingard was deployed in the false nine position when Micky was injured last season and he performed brilliantly.

Jesse is loved by the West Ham fans and the players. It seems as though the feeling is mutual.

He could be available for around £15 million in January according to a report from The Mirror. Surely we will be able to pick him up for cheaper than that, however, especially if he pushes for an exit.

A return to the London Stadium in January seems like an absolute no-brainer for the Manchester United man.
