The Hammers welcomed Liverpool to the London Stadium this afternoon and we really made things hard for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

West Ham took the lead early after a Pablo Fornals corner got a slight touch off Alisson Becker’s glove.

Liverpool equalised through a fantastic Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick just before half-time, however.

It was after Liverpool’s goal when West Ham really started to show their quality though.

Namely Said Benrahma. What a player the Algerian is.

The 26-year-old had Trent Alexander-Arnold on toast at times. On another day, he would have had one or two assists in the first-half, had his teammates been more clinical.

The former Brentford man is really starting to find his feet now at the London Stadium.

David Moyes will be delighted with Benrahma’s recent from.

And the exciting thing is that he will surely continue to get better and better.

The challenge for Benny now will be to find a certain level of consistency that the very best players in the world have.

And then he will become elite.
