West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to Marouane Fellaini comparing himself to West Ham ace Tomas Soucek.

Fellaini spoke to The Athletic and offered high words of praise for Soucek, comparing the Czech ace to a younger version of himself:
“Soucek reminds me of my younger self. He’s a good box-to-box midfielder, he can score goals, he’s an important player for the team. Moyes is good at finding players like Soucek.”
David Moyes signed Fellaini for Everton way back in 2008 during his time in charge at Goodison Park for around £15 million (The Guardian).
The Scot then signed him again for Manchester United in 2013 for £27.5 million (BBC).
Moyes has always liked a big powerful central midfielder in his teams.
And after taking over as West Ham manager in December 2019, he brought Tomas Soucek to the London Stadium from Slavia Prague on loan. He made the deal a permanent one for around £15 million in July 2020 (Daily Mail).
In our opinion, Soucek is on a completely different level to Fellaini.
The 26-year-old Czech star has a much greater engine, is more dynamic and offers more both defensively and offensively than the 87-capped Belgium international ever did.
West Ham fans react as Marouane Fellaini makes Tomas Soucek comments
The 33-year-old, who now plies his trade in China with Shandong, was a very useful Premier League player.
If truth be told though, the former Manchester United and Everton man isn’t fit to lace Soucek’s boots.
And some West Ham fans echoed that sentiment on Twitter last night…
