West Ham lost 2-1 to Manchester City at the Etihad yesterday afternoon.
The Hammers players were a long way form their best form but they still put up a decent fight.
And losing 2-1 to Manchester City is no disgrace at all. Paris Saint-Germain lost by the same scoreline on Wednesday night!

West Ham had a couple of standout performers including Declan Rice. The 22-year-old was in exceptional form once again for the Hammers.
Pep Guardiola praised Declan Rice for his performance for West Ham.
There were a couple of other players who caught the City manager’s eye as well though.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola praises three West Ham players
The former Barca boss is always highly appreciative of technically gifted footballers.
And he praised three West Ham players in particular:

“They have more possession ball with Benrahma, with Lanzini, they have the quality to play. Declan Rice is an exceptional player. We know how difficult they are.”
In fairness, Benrahma was pretty poor yesterday but Lanzini looked very good when he came on for the Algerian.
David Moyes does have plenty of technically gifted talent amongst his ranks at the London Stadium now.
It’s just a question of getting them all back to their best form.
