The 28-year-old was given a rare start by David Moyes for the Hammers against Manchester City.

And Arthur came out all guns blazing.
The Democratic Republic of Congo international was absolutely brilliant, especially during the first 30 minutes against Man City.
His ability to hold onto the ball in tight spaces gives us a completely different dimension to our play down the left hand flank.

It must be said though, Masuaku lost concentration in the build-up to Manchester City’s opening goal.
He was left in no man’s land and Ilkay Gundogan ended up scoring with an easy tap-in.
That is something that King Arthur absolutely must improve upon if he is to feature regularly under David Moyes.
It’s hard to be too critical of the 28-year-old, however.

Masuaku always gives his all for West Ham and as mentioned earlier, he gives us that added X-factor and dribbling ability that we sometimes do not possess when we’re attacking.

Look, we all know that the 28-year-old isn’t perfect. He is somewhat of a maverick and will sometimes make mistakes.
He did offer us something completely different today though and his courage in possession has to be applauded.
