Genoa boss Andriy Shevchenko allegedly wants to bring his Ukrainian compatriot to Serie A.
That’s according to former Ukraine manager Yozhef Sabo.
Sabo told Sport:

“As far as I know, Shevchenko wants to buy not only (Shakthar Donetsk defender) Mykola Matviyenko but also (Oleksandr) Zinchenko from Manchester City and Yarmolenko from West Ham.”
Yarmolenko is out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer.
He has proven this season that he is nowhere near the levels required for the Premier League anymore.
It’s not entirely his fault. The Achilles tendon injury that he suffered in 2018 has obviously played a huge part in his struggles over the past 18 months or so.
Having said that, there is no room for sentiment at the highest level of the game.

David Moyes will be desperate to get Yarmo’s salary off the books at West Ham.
And getting a fee for him in January would be a huge bonus.
West Ham fans react as Yarmolenko is linked with Genoa
The 32-year-old leaving would save West Ham so much in wages. It would free up space for someone like Jesse Lingard to move to the London Stadium.
As mentioned earlier, any kind of fee for the 106-capped Ukraine international would be a bonus.
