Shocking player can never start again for West Ham United after Europa League stinker against Freiburg.

West Ham put in a solid all-round display against Freiburg out in Germany tonight, and Hammers boss David Moyes would have been delighted with the application of his players.

The East London outfit are now in complete control of Group A after a 2-1 win against Freiburg, and there were plenty of impressive individual performances on the night.

However, Pablo Fornals was someone who totally flopped when he really should have been doing his utmost to impress the gaffer.

In my opinion, he shouldn’t be starting for the Hammers again…

The Spaniard, 27, was absolutely awful against Freiburg tonight.

He failed to create anything going forward, was barged off the ball far too easily on numerous occasions and didn’t provide much cover defensively either.

It was recently claimed that Fornals could leave West Ham to join Sevilla in the January transfer window, and I wouldn’t be surprised one little bit if that happened.

Whether it’s a confidence issue or something deeper rooted, nobody actually knows – but the former Villarreal midfielder looks like an absolute shadow of his former self.

It will clearly be best for both Fornals and the Hammers if he leaves the London Stadium as soon as possible. I really don’t like saying that – he has been great for us at times over the past few years. However, the time has come for the Spaniard and the club to go their separate ways.

His performance for West Ham against Freiburg was enough for me to say that he shouldn’t start for us again.
