The 25-year-old has already fully established himself as a vital player for the Hammers – what an incredible signing he was from Moyes.

However, it seems as though the Mexico international can still reach another level.
Moyes spoke about Alvarez’s stamina as the midfielder continues to get used to the intensity of the Premier League…
David Moyes makes Edson Alvarez admission
The Hammers boss was speaking to reporters last night ahead of our Europa League clash with Freiburg out in Germany tonight.
And Moyes responded when asked about the impression Alvarez has made at West Ham, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“He’s done incredibly well and started fast. He’s a really good man to have around, he’s a good professional and settled in really well. I still think, coming into the last 15 minutes of games, he’s found it physically demanding, but I have to say he’s doing really, really well.”
That’s a very honest admission by Moyes, but hardly a surprising one.
Moving from the Eredivisie to the Premier League is always a huge challenge, especially for an energetic central midfielder.
Edson Alvarez already looks like he’ll be an exceptional player for the Hammers.
However, David Moyes clearly thinks he could get even better.
And that’s really exciting to hear for the West Ham fans.
