Joe Cole has criticised one West Ham player in particular after his shocking performance against Olympiacos in the Europa League tonight.
West Ham put in a really poor performance in the Europa League against Olympiacos out in Greece tonight, and Joe Cole singled out one Hammer for his display.

David Moyes would have been disgusted with the way that his second string went about their business in Athens this evening – it truly was a shambolic display from pretty much everyone involved.
One of the worst culprits out there tonight was Hammers midfielder Pablo Fornals.
The 27-year-old Spaniard has barely played this season, and it showed tonight. He really was so poor, and it’s little wonder why Moyes hasn’t been selecting him.

Joe Cole rips into West Ham ‘mannequin’ after Olympiacos disaster-class
There wasn’t a single Hammer who would have been justified in leaving the field with their head held high tonight.
However, Fornals was the one who was singled out by Cole, and the well-renowned football pundit criticised the former Villarreal man’s role in Olympiacos’s second goal tonight, when speaking on TNT Sport (October 26th, 6:40pm):
“Not tight enough, allowing a cross to come in like that. Fornals there not tight enough, when you’re a winger going back to help your full-back, you’re there to stop the cross, not to just be a mannequin.”
Cole is right – Fornals was absolutely atrocious against the Greek giants out in Athens tonight – he was unacceptably bad.
Sure, he’s hardly played, so would have found it hard to find any rhythm tonight, but he’s a professional footballer, and he needs to do so much better.
Pablo is out of contract at the London Stadium in the summer of 2024, and it has been claimed recently that Moyes will try to move him on in January.
I really can’t see any kind of future for him at the London Stadium anymore, especially after the performance that he served up tonight.
Joe Cole heavily criticised the West Ham man and rightly so. The worrying thing is that those kind of displays have been the norm for Fornals over the past 12 months.
That was quite simply not good enough from Pablo tonight, and it’s now obvious to see why he barely starts for us anymore.
