Contrasting pictures of West Ham and Arsenal fans inside Sevilla stadium will shock you

A picture emerged of the Arsenal fans inside Sevilla’s stadium before their Champions League clash last night, and it highlighted a huge difference from when West Ham travelled out to southern Spain in March 2022.

West Ham played Sevilla in the Europa League during the 2021/22 season, and Arsenal have the Spaniards in their Champions League group this term.

The Hammers beat Sevilla over two legs, and the Gunners won 2-1 last night at The Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium – a very good result for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Surprisingly, the Arsenal fans did not fill out their away allocation for the Champions League clash last night.

And the contrast between that and the West Ham fans inside Sevilla’s stadium in March 2022 will absolutely shock you:

In fairness to the Arsenal fans out at The Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, their end did fill up slightly more than that picture above shows.

However, there were still plenty of empty seats visible in the Arsenal end, and the same definitely cannot be said about us when we travelled out to Seville in 2022.

Listen, Arsenal are undoubtedly a bigger club than us, I’m not for one minute suggesting that they’re not. However, our fanbase stand alone at the top of the tree as far as I’m concerned.

We have travelled the length and breadth of the country, and the continent, over the past 43 years, despite not winning a trophy until just four months ago.

The Hammers fans fans should be very proud this morning after seeing the Arsenal fans out in Sevilla. It really was like chalk and cheese.
