Sevilla are apparently in talks to sign West Ham United ace Pablo Fornals this summer.

And the Spaniards will have to pay around €20 million (£17 million) to prise Pablo Fornals away from West Ham in the summer transfer window, according to a report from Mucho Deporte.

The Hammers signed the 27-year-old from Villarreal in the summer of 2019 for around £25 million (The Telegraph).

He’s a huge fan favourite at the London Stadium but just hasn’t played much under David Moyes recently. And as a result, he’s apparently keen to return to his homeland.

Now it seems like Fornals is indeed closing in on a return to Spain…

The amount West Ham are prepared to lose on Pablo Fornals by selling him to Sevilla

Mucho Deporte reckon that the Hammers are demanding £17 million from the La Liga side for the midfielder.

Listen, I love Pablo and would like him to stay at the London Stadium.

However, he only has one year remaining on his current deal with West Ham. So the club have to either sell him this summer or sign him up to a new deal.

If the latter is impossible, then selling him becomes the only option. And £17 million would be outstanding business for a player in the final year of his deal.

I just can’t see Sevilla paying anything like that for the Spaniard, so perhaps he will have to be included in a deal that brings Youssef En-Nesyri to West Ham.

As mentioned earlier, I really hope that Pablo Fornals stays at West Ham beyond the end of the summer transfer window.

However, I really wouldn’t blame him for moving to Sevilla, especially considering the lack of game-time he has been given by Moyes over the past year.
