West Ham United have allegedly submitted a new offer for Club Brugge attacking midfielder Hans Vanaken.
That’s according to a report from HLN who claim that the Hammers have lodged a new and improved €13 million (£11 million) bid for the 30-year-old.

West Ham boss David Moyes has been tracking the 21-capped Belgium international for the past couple of weeks now (Voetbal 24).
And Vanaken is allegedly very keen to move to the London Stadium.

It seems as though Moyes is still interested in signing Vanaken, in spite of his pursuit of Lucas Paqueta…
West Ham make new Hans Vanaken bid
HLN reckon that the Hammers have just submitted a new £11 million bid for the 30-year-old.
Whether club Brugge accept that offer remains to be seen though…
We’ve repeatedly insisted that the Belgian midfielder is far from our first choice. That’s not to say that he isn’t a good player though.
The Belgian bagged 16 goals and seven assists in 45 games in the 2020/21 season and racked up 15 goals and 12 assists in 50 outings last term (Transfermarkt).
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Vanaken is a real unit and has the kind of physicality needed to succeed in the Premier League.

There is one problem as far as we’re concerned though. The Club Brugge midfielder is 30 now. That obviously doesn’t correlate with the Red Bull Model that David Moyes supposedly wants to implement at the London Stadium.
Moving to the Premier League from the Belgian league and succeeding is a tough ask for anybody. Let alone someone who is 30.
Let’s just hope that West Ham sign Lucas Paqueta instead of Hans Vanaken.
The Belgian is a very decent player but he’s quite simply not on the same level as the Brazilian.
